Large contaminations at two former Lindane production plants

Large contaminations at two former Lindane production plants have been reported by a group of Danish, Romanian and Slovakian journalists at the 13th International HCH and Pesticides Forum, held 3-6 November 2015 in Zaragoza, in Aragon, Spain:

at the former Lindane production site in Turda, Romania, large HCH-Waste contamination are reported and illegal collection and sales of DDT

at the former Juraj Dimitrov Chemical Enterprises (CHZJD) in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, where during the years 1956–1966 this factory produced more than 13,000 tons of Lindane. Morten Hansen and Marcel Pazman report large stockpiles of HCH-waste (around 90 000 m3) and huge pollution of groundwater (millions of m3). See video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9QdARNXAfY
